Την τέταρτη διαπεριφερειακή συνάντηση των εταίρων του έργου UrbCitizenPower (Empower citizens for agency as driver for change in cities) διοργάνωσε στη Θεσσαλονίκη το Περιφερειακό Ταμείο Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας, ως εταίρος του έργου, με την υποστήριξη της Περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας, ως Συνεργαζόμενη Αρχή Χάραξης Πολιτικής.
Το έργο UrbCitizenPower έχει ως βασικό στόχο την ενδυνάμωση των πολιτών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, ώστε να είναι σε θέση να αναλάβουν οι ίδιοι δράση σε τρέχοντα και σημαντικά κοινωνικά ζητήματα. Συγχρηματοδοτείται από το πρόγραμμα Interreg Europe 2021-2027 και η διάρκεια υλοποίησής του είναι 48 μήνες (έως 31/03/2028). Το εταιρικό σχήμα του έργου περιλαμβάνει συνολικά οκτώ εταίρους από επτά Περιφέρειες ευρωπαϊκών κρατών (Γερμανία, Φινλανδία, Σλοβακία, Ελλάδα, Ολλανδία, Πορτογαλία και Δανία).
Στην τέταρτη διαπεριφερειακή συνάντηση, η οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε το τριήμερο 2-4 Δεκεμβρίου 2025 στη Θεσσαλονίκη, έλαβαν μέρος εκπρόσωποι των εταίρων του έργου UrbCitizenPower, της Περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας, η οποία συμμετέχει στο έργο ως Συνεργαζόμενη Αρχή Χάραξης Πολιτικής, καθώς και εκπρόσωποι του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης και του Δήμου Καλαμαριάς και πολλοί εκπρόσωποι της κοινωνίας των πολιτών, ως τοπικοί συνεργαζόμενοι φορείς (stakeholders).
Οι συμμετέχοντες στην τέταρτη διαπεριφερειακή συνάντηση του έργου UrbCitizenPower παρακολούθησαν το εργαστήριο Urban Living Lab με μια ολοκληρωμένη σειρά παρουσιάσεων, συζητήσεων και επισκέψεων πεδίου στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Την πρώτη ημέρα της δράσης πραγματοποιήθηκαν παρουσιάσεις για το Πρόγραμμα «Κεντρική Μακεδονία 2021–2027» και το έργο BAUHAUS4MED. Ακόμη, σε δύο ξεχωριστά θεματικά πάνελ συζητήσεων οι εκπρόσωποι της τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης και της κοινωνίας των πολιτών επικεντρώθηκαν στις ευκαιρίες και τις προκλήσεις που διαμορφώνονται ως προς την άντληση χρηματοδότησης για την υλοποίηση έργων αστικής ανάπτυξης. Ακολούθησαν επιτόπιες επισκέψεις στο «συμπεριληπτικό» αισθητηριακό πάρκο (Sencory Park) και στο πρώην στρατόπεδο Κόδρα του Δήμου Καλαμαριάς, παρουσία του Αντιδημάρχου Περιβάλλοντος, Ηλεκτροφωτισμού και Συντήρησης Έργων Νίκου Μυσιρλή, όπου οι εκπρόσωποι των φορέων πρότειναν ενδιαφέρουσες ιδέες αξιοποίησης του χώρου.
Κατά τη δεύτερη ημέρα της συνάντησης αναδείχτηκε η δράση «Θεσσαλονίκη Αλλιώς» και διοργανώθηκε εργαστήριο συμμετοχικού σχεδιασμού (placemaking), με τη συμμετοχή της Ομάδας Αστικής Ανάπτυξης STIPO Greece και με αντικείμενο την αξιολόγηση του δημόσιου χώρου της ΧΑΝΘ. Την τρίτη και τελευταία ημέρα της δράσης οι συμμετέχοντες εργαστήκαν πάνω στα επιμέρους εργαλεία πολιτικής και συζήτησαν για σημαντικά ζητήματα διαχείρισης και για τα επόμενα βήματα υλοποίησης του συγκεκριμένου έργου.
Οι εκπρόσωποι του εταιρικού σχήματος του UrbCitizenPower ανανέωσαν το ραντεβού τους για την επόμενη συνάντησή τους, που θα φιλοξενηθεί στη Δανία. Στο επόμενο στάδιο, το Περιφερειακό Ταμείο Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας ως εταίρος του έργου, η Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας ως Συνεργαζόμενη Αρχή Χάραξης Πολιτικής και τα υπόλοιπα μέλη της Περιφερειακής Ομάδας Υποστήριξης (RSG) θα αναλύσουν τα συμπεράσματα και τα αποτελέσματα τόσο της τελευταίας συνάντησης όσο και συνολικά του έργου “UrbCitizenPower”. Η ανάλυση των μέχρι τώρα δεδομένων σε συνδυασμό με τις καλές πρακτικές που αναδεικνύονται μέσα από τις δράσεις του έργου μπορούν να συμβάλουν σημαντικά στην υλοποίηση του Περιφερειακού Προγράμματος Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας 2021-2027.

The third Urban Living Lab of the UrbCitizenPower project (Empower citizens for agency as driver for change in cities) was organized in Thessaloniki by the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia, as a project partner, with the support of the Region of Central Macedonia, as the Associated Policy Authority.
The UrbCitizenPower project aims primarily to empower the citizens of the European Union so that they are able to take action themselves on current and important social issues. It is co-funded by the Interreg Europe 2021–2027 programme and its implementation period is 48 months (until 31/03/2028). The project partnership consists of a total of eight partners from seven regions of European countries (Germany, Finland, Slovakia, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Denmark).
At the fourth meeting, which took place from 2–4 December 2025 in Thessaloniki, representatives of the UrbCitizenPower project partners took part, along with representatives of the Region of Central Macedonia, which participates in the project as an Associated Policy Authority, as well as representatives of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Municipality of Kalamaria, and many representatives of civil society as local stakeholders.
The participants in the fourth interregional meeting of the UrbCitizenPower project attended the Urban Living Lab, which included a full series of presentations, discussions, and field visits in Thessaloniki. On the first day, presentations were given on the “Kentriki Makedonia 2021–2027” Programme and the BAUHAUS4MED project. Moreover, in two separate thematic discussion panels, representatives of local government and civil society focused on the opportunities and challenges related to securing funding for the implementation of urban development projects. This was followed by field visits to the “inclusive” Sensory Park and the former Kodra military camp in the Municipality of Kalamaria, in the presence of the Deputy Mayor for Environment, Lighting, and Works Maintenance, Nikos Mysirlis, where the representatives proposed interesting ideas for the utilization of the area.
On the second day of the meeting, the initiative “Thessaloniki Otherwise” was highlighted, and a placemaking participatory design workshop was held, with the participation of the Urban Development Team STIPO Greece, focusing on evaluating the public space at the YMCA (ΧΑΝΘ). On the third and final day of activities, participants worked on specific policy tools and discussed important management issues and the next steps for implementing the project.
The representatives of the UrbCitizenPower partnership renewed their appointment for the next meeting, which will be hosted in Denmark. In the next stage, the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia as a project partner, the Region of Central Macedonia as the Associated Policy Authority, and the remaining members of the Regional Stakeholders Group (RSG) will analyze the conclusions and results of both the latest meeting and of the UrbCitizenPower project as a whole. The analysis of the data so far, combined with the good practices emerging from the project’s activities, can significantly contribute to the implementation of the Regional Programme of Central Macedonia 2021–2027.
