Στην πέμπτη συνάντηση – εργαστήριο (Urban Living Lab) στο πλαίσιο υλοποίησης του ευρωπαϊκού έργου “UrbCitizenPower” συμμετείχαν το Περιφερειακό Ταμείο Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας και η Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας.
Το έργο “UrbCitizenPower” (Empower citizens for agency as driver for change in cities) συγχρηματοδοτείται από το Πρόγραμμα INTERREG EUROPE 2021-2027 και στοχεύει στην ενδυνάμωση των πολιτών, προκειμένου να αναλάβουν οι ίδιοι δράση σε τρέχοντα και σημαντικά κοινωνικά ζητήματα. Το Περιφερειακό Ταμείο Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας είναι ένας από τους εταίρους του έργου, ενώ η Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας συμμετέχει ως Συνεργαζόμενη Αρχή Χάραξης Πολιτικής.
Η πέμπτη συνάντηση-εργαστήριο (Urban Living Lab) του έργου “UrbCitizenPower” πραγματοποιήθηκε στην πόλη Γκούλντμποργκσουντ της Δανίας στις 22, 23 και 24 Απριλίου, με τη συμμετοχή εκπρόσωπων του Περιφερειακού Ταμείου Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας, της Περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας η οποία συμμετέχει στο έργο ως Συνεργαζόμενη Αρχή Χάραξης Πολιτικής.
Μέσα από τη συμμετοχή τους στην πέμπτη συνάντηση-εργαστήριο (Urban Living Lab) των εταίρων του έργου UrbCitizenPower, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στην πόλη Γκούλντμποργκσουντ της Δανίας το διάστημα 22-24 Απριλίου 2026, οι εκπρόσωποι της Περιφέρειας και του Περιφερειακού Ταμείου Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας είχαν την ευκαιρία να ενημερωθούν για τον σύγχρονο στρατηγικό σχεδιασμό της συγκεκριμένης περιοχής της Δανίας και να εμβαθύνουν σε ζητήματα αστικής ανάπτυξης και συμμετοχικής εκπροσώπησης των πολιτών.
Κατά την πρώτη ημέρα της συνάντησης, ο Δήμαρχος του Γκούλντμποργκσουντ καλωσόρισε τους συμμετέχοντες και ανέδειξε τη σημασία της διεθνούς συνεργασίας για την προώθηση βιώσιμων αστικών πολιτικών. Ακόμη, παρουσιάστηκε το ολοκληρωμένο σχέδιο ανάπτυξης της περιοχής, το οποίο, μεταξύ άλλων, προβλέπει τη σταδιακή μετατροπή ενός βιομηχανικού λιμένα σε μια ζωντανή, πράσινη παραθαλάσσια γειτονιά μέσα στα επόμενα χρόνια. Ακολούθησε επιτόπια περιήγηση σε βασικές υποδομές της πόλης, όπου οι συμμετέχοντες γνώρισαν και ενημερώθηκαν άμεσα για τον υπό εξέλιξη αστικό σχεδιασμό.
Η δεύτερη ημέρα της δράσης ξεκίνησε με ένα εργαστήριο αφιερωμένο στη συμμετοχική δημοκρατία. Τα μέλη των αποστολών εξοικειώθηκαν με καινοτόμες μεθόδους ενίσχυσης της δημοκρατικής συμμετοχής και έλαβαν μέρος σε εργαστήρια και δράσεις που εστιάζουν στη συμμετοχή των νέων στα κοινωνικά και τοπικά δρώμενα και στη διακρατική συνεργασία.
Στην τρίτη και τελευταία ημέρα της συνάντησης συζητήθηκε διεξοδικά η μέχρι τώρα πορεία της υλοποίησης του UrbCitizenPower, με έμφαση στα αποτελέσματα της τριήμερης συνάντησης, ενώ προγραμματίστηκαν οι μελλοντικές δράσεις και τα επόμενα βήματα για την ανάπτυξη του έργου.
Στο επόμενο στάδιο, η Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας ως συνεργαζόμενη Αρχή Χάραξης Πολιτικής, το Περιφερειακό Ταμείο Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας ως εταίρος του έργου και τα υπόλοιπα μέλη της Περιφερειακής Ομάδας Υποστήριξης (RSG) θα αναλύσουν τα συμπεράσματα και τα αποτελέσματα τόσο της εν λόγω συνάντησης όσο και συνολικά του έργου “UrbCitizenPower”. Η ανάλυση των μέχρι τώρα δεδομένων σε συνδυασμό με τις καλές πρακτικές που αναδεικνύονται μέσα από τις δράσεις του έργου μπορούν να συμβάλουν σημαντικά στην υλοποίηση του Περιφερειακού Προγράμματος Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας 2021-2027.

The Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia and the Region of Central Macedonia participated in the 4th Urban Living Lab within the framework of the European project “UrbCitizenPower”.
The “UrbCitizenPower” project (Empower citizens for agency as driver for change in cities) is co-funded by the INTERREG EUROPE 2021–2027 Programme and aims to empower citizens to take action themselves on current and important social issues. The 4th Urban Living Lab of the “UrbCitizenPower” project took place in the city of Guldborgsund, Denmark, on April 22, 23, and 24, with the participation of representatives from the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia and the Region of Central Macedonia, which participates in the project as an Associated Policy Authority (APA).
Through their participation in the 4th Urban Living Lab of the UrbCitizenPower project partners, held in Guldborgsund, Denmark, from April 22 to 24, 2026, representatives of the Region and the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia had the opportunity to learn about the modern strategic planning of the specific Danish region and to gain deeper insight into issues of urban development and participatory citizen representation.
During the first day of the meeting, the Mayor of Guldborgsund welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in promoting sustainable urban policies. In addition, the integrated development plan for the area was presented, which, among other things, provides for the gradual transformation of an industrial port into a vibrant, green waterfront neighborhood over the coming years. An on-site tour of key city infrastructure followed, during which participants were introduced to and informed directly about the ongoing urban planning initiatives.
The second day of the event began with a workshop dedicated to participatory democracy. Delegation members became familiar with innovative methods for strengthening democratic participation and took part in workshops and activities focusing on youth participation in social and local affairs, as well as on transnational cooperation.
On the third and final day of the meeting, the progress achieved so far in the implementation of UrbCitizenPower was discussed in detail, with emphasis placed on the outcomes of the three-day meeting. Future activities and the next steps for the development of the project were also planned.
In the next stage, the Region of Central Macedonia, as an Associated Policy Authority, the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia, as a project partner, and the Regional Stakeholder Group (RSG) will analyze the conclusions and results both of this specific meeting and of the UrbCitizenPower project overall. The analysis of the data collected so far, combined with the good practices highlighted through the project’s activities, can contribute significantly to the implementation of the Central Macedonia Regional Programme 2021–2027.
